LanPro Industrial Radios encompass three series: ATLAS, VULCAN, and the VULCAN Vehicle Subscriber Mobile Series.
* The ATLAS SERIES of radios belong to our family of NLOS (Near Line of Sight) products that allow the operator to economically make the most of the ISM and licensed bands by coupling proven 802.11 technology with state of the art RF amplifiers and efficient antenna systems. Our ATLAS SERIES provide the operator with all the advantages of NGN (New Generation Networking) transmission (OFDM, NLOS, efficient band utilization etc.) without a large capital investment. The initial cost of ownership for an operator growing into a new service area is immediately affordable. The ATLAS SERIES operate in the unlicensed 900 MHz ISM band (902 - 928 MHz) as well as many other licensed ones. The combination of NLOS from OFDM and 802.11 chipsets make this the most cost effective solution on the market for that band. Software selectable channel bandwidths of 5, 10 and 20 MHz give 5.5, 10, and 20 Mbps throughput respectively. LanPro offers complete support for the deployment of solutions based on this technology. This series of radios have high RF power and coverage and is an excellent choice for SCADA applications. It is protocol transparent. Available with internal or external antenna when greater gain or directiveness is needed. The picture shown here is a salt mine in Australia.
* The VULCAN SERIES from Lanpro is a high capacity PtP/PtmP backhaul for long distance solution. The series operate in 400 MHz/900 MHz, 2.3 GHz/4.9 GHz licensed band and 2.4 GHz/5 GHz ISM band for wireless deployment in long distance. Comes in versions with or without integrated antenna. 5/10/20/40 MHz adjustable channel bandwidth provides the flexibility of deployment in channel plan or high capacity backhaul, and variable capacities for different applications - the highest truly accumulated throughput (uplink plus downlink) is up to 50 Mbps.
The series utilizes TDD (TDMA) technology which allowing the balanced uplink and downlink tunnels on a single channel. This radio is primarily designed to provide standard Ethernet interface in a wireless link between distant sites. The VULCAN SERIES has powerful security management because it supports WEP and WPA2 (AES-128bits) encryption, and use the proprietary protocol. All these functions make the network much more secure and reliable.
* The VULCAN VSU (Vehicle Subscriber Unit) Series from LanPro provides LOS (Line of sight) and NLOS (Near/ Non-Line of sight) solutions for transmission of mobile video/data/voice applications. LOS solution includes 2.4 GHz/5.8 GHz ISM band, 5 GHz UNII band, 900 MHz/4.9 GHz Public Safety band, and some other frequencies like 2.3 GHz/2.5 GHz/3.3 GHz and 3.5 GHz. NLOS solution includes 300 MHz/400 MHz UHF band. The fractional bandwidth control feature allows more non-overlapping channels in practical deployment that provides better flexibility in deploying the network. High output power OFDM-TDMA technology gives the ability for near/non-line of sight deployment, and supports long distance and high capacity wireless mobile data solution. The LanPro VSU Series utilize Time Division Duplex Technology allowing operation on a single channel. The Ethernet products are primarily designed to provide standard Ethernet interface with robust aluminum alloy indoor unit.
