This LanPro telephone/CAT3 plug is mainly used for making the telephone patch cord cables that connect the telephone apparatus to the telephone company jack, or in two pairs only CAT3 Ethernet connection.
This plug enables the possibility for the apparatus to have two lines connected to the telephone company.
These plugs allow field preparation using flexible stranded/solid AWG26 to AWG22 for telephony or solid AWG24 for CAT3 wires. With a gold electrolytic plated surface contact of 50 micro-inches, it assures long life and a high degree of resistance against corrosion and environmental hazards.
