The LP-RU07107PPDU Power Distribution Unit (PDU) by LanPro is an excellent option for applications that require a mains feeder in the back of large 19-inch cabinets and racks that come non-filtered, nor surge protected AC service mains. This PDU solves this issue by protecting the load against overloads produced by voltage, current or RF interference produced by other equipment in the mains circuit. This PDU unit comes enclosed in a robust anodized aluminum enclosure and carries seven (7) NEMA 5-15R, 125 VAC, 50/60 Hz grounded outlets. The maximum operating current drawn from the mains circuit is limited to 15 A and cannot deliver more than 1875 W total output summed. This PDU comes with a 15 A thermal breaker and an illuminated toggle switch with finger guard to avoid accidental operation. By the same token, this PDU has a 10000 Ampere surge discharge capacity and a voltage surge energy withstand of 2000 Joules from LN-LG-NG; besides that, it has an LED information panel whose colors indicate: Red: voltage, Green: Ground connector, Yellow: active overload protection. In series with this circuit is a common mode RF filter circuit that suppresses excess RF energy. This device has been designed for 19 inch wide rack mounting and uses 1½ units of vertical rack space.
