LP-SG800 very fast, low cost Gigabit Ethernet switch, was designed mainly for the SOHO (small office/home office) access layer or aggregation layer application. LP-SG800 features; Plug and play capability, self-adaptation, total standard support,regular mode as well as network port isolation. It is a very fast and affordable solution to the everyday challenging network integration. You can get up to 1Gb (1000Mb) of data transfer thanks to a very fast, zero hassle 16GB backplane. When N-Seg is selected (Network Segregation mode) the ports 2 to 8 are isolated from each other, forcing the traffic strictly to the port number one (1) only, which is suitable for the use of the wireless AP, cameras or other devices, which can effectively restrain the network storm and improve the performance safety of the wireless network. This would help to comply with the new policy where you don’t even trust your own users. If the switch is selected, all the ports 2 to 8 are tunneled only to port number 1. N-SEG isolates ports 2 to 8 to interface each other. This may be inadequate for some applications, but it is wonderful for others scenarios where ports don’t have or need to communicate between them under any circumstance. Example cameras, AP and others applications where security is a must. |
